What is the cost of renting Bleeks and Bergamot in 2023?

FRIDAY Wedding ceremony + reception for up to 150 people in 2023: Venue rental of $ 5,400 + HST SATURDAY Wedding ceremony + reception for up to 150 people in 2023: Venue rental of $ 5,900 + HST Couples can select a Friday or Saturday, from May 5th till October 28th, 2023 (subject to current availability). Our full event venue rental includes up to 10 hours of exclusive time at Bleeks and Bergamot on your event day. We will not host another event on the same day ever! Reception only events are permitted in 2023 for both Fridays and Saturdays for a cost of $5,000 for FRIDAYS and $5,400 for SATURDAYS. Reception only events are permitted to begin anytime after 4:30 pm, following an offsite ceremony ( at a church for example), for up to 8.5 hours of time on site.

Can I bring in my own decor and event coordination team?

Yes, of course! We are happy to allow any event planner, florist or décor team of choice to take care of your tablespaces, reception layout, management of your day-of details, and floral design. These vendors can have access to the property from 10 am onwards on your event day for preparations. Please note: you must have these staff booked to clean up all of their materials at the end of the night, following your event, or prior to 10 am on the morning following your event. All garbage and waste associated with their services is their resposnbility to take with them as well. If there is not compliance, there will be a fee of $500 billed to the couple. What food services can we use?

In 2023 Bleeks and Bergamot has decided to work on a Preferred Caterers List ONLY. This means our 2023 couples must select their catering from one of the following companies: Mixing Bowl Catering My Catering Group Ullrich's Catering Smoke Box Catering These four companies stood out to us in 2021 as having excellent customer service, phenomenal prices and food offerrings to suit all budgets and tastes, along with really high quality presentation from set up through full clean up of your meal. Please contact us if you have any questions what so ever. We do ask that if you have booked your big day with Bleeks and Bergamot that you reach out to the above companies to peruse their catering offerrings for your big day.

What amenities come standard with hosting our wedding at Bleeks and Bergamot in 2023?

The following amenities are included for both intimate and full scale events, on either a Friday or Saturday (+ select holiday Sundays) in 2023.

  • Day of use of full property from 3 pm till 1 am for all guests.
    • Vendors have access to property from 10 am onwards on day of event for preparations - floral, food, decor etc.
    • guest arrivals are permitted to begin anytime after 3 pm, for ceremonies beginning at 3:30 pm or later
    • reception only events are permitted to begin anytime after 4:30 pm for guest and full wedding party arrivals
    • Last call from the bar will be 11:50 pm-12:00 am, with music winding down shortly after midnight to just dinner level music. Full party departure is expected to be by 1 am at the very latest.
  • Full ceremony setup and clean up of wood cross back chairs. Set up in desired layout, inside one of our two buildings, or outside in the white stoned courtyard, on either side of our charcoal concrete aisle up to the old dairy barn.
  • Exclusive use of our new 2,000 square foot reception building
    • pristine shiplap walls in white
    • custom modern farmhouse bar and bar back
    • can comfortably accommodate up to 136 seated dinner guests, or up to 150 for more of a cocktail style affair
  • Exclusive use of an extra 1,800 square feet in adjacent building off courtyard
    • again for optional dining space, ceremony rain backup plan, or evening reception space for dancing/cocktail tables/games tables/photo booth etc.
    • This new extra building features an industrial look, with steel arches we are having painted white, black contemporary light fixtures, and soaring 15 foot peak
    • This building is just kitty corner to our current 2021 covered building, not even 10 feet away for amazing ease of use of both buildings cohesively, yet for their own distinct purposes!
      • Many of our 2022/23 couples are intending on this space for their dinner, with our 2021 new reception hall being exclusively for backup ceremony, cocktail time, and evening dancing and lounging, but how you use the building is up to you!
      • This building also comfortably seats 136 for a formal served dinner, or up to the 150 person mark for a cocktail style affair, dancing, games etc.
  • Reception Furniture/ Decor :
    • Fourteen beautiful 8 foot long harvest tables with stretcher base legs, each seating up to 10 people, with set up in desired layout
    • Twelve, 8 foot long rectangular banquet tables that seat up to 8 people, for use as desired ( buffet, head table, sweets table etc.) These tables require linens.
    • Unlimited wooden cross back chairs for your reception, with set up and clean up.
    • One grey 48 " round oak pedestal table for cake or gifts/cards
    • One 42 " long grey sideboard for guest book, party favours, or gifts/cards
    • One coffee and tea bar area near the bar
    • One vintage black dresser with mirror - party favors, cake, desserts etc.
    • One 4 foot table with black linens for DJ or other
  • Exclusive use of our 5,000 square foot white stone courtyard.
    • flanked by meticulously landscaped grounds, and a beautiful new landscaped berm with water feature
    • professionally designed hanging baskets & planters in a beautiful bridal palette surrounding the space
    • twinkle string lights strung throughout add an incredible evening ambience for you and your guests overhead
    • two modern propane fire pits, adirondack chairs, black patio umbrellas and more allow for guests to use the amazing outdoor space from the moment they arrive right through till the end of the night!
  • Our one hundred year old dairy barn, with new white portico offers a stunning backdrop for your outdoor wedding ceremony and is a great spot for wedding party and family photos too! (no interior access in 2023)
  • Private use of our nearby riverside property for extremely scenic bride and groom photos, wedding party shots, first look, golden hour, or other small group photography, alongside mature trees, rapids, and 150 year old log buildings. Access is available until sunset on your event day. Easiest access to site is 1 km drive from our main venue entrance.
  • Three private washrooms, with wheel chair accessibility, each with their own vanity, toilet, floor length mirror, and freshening up toiletries.
  • A complimentary visit to our riverside property prior to your event for one hour, where you can incorporate your engagement photo session with your photographer ( available for 2023 couples from fall of 2021 up until their wedding day)
  • Up to twenty members of your party also have complementary access to Bleeks and Bergamot venue space the Thursday before your booked special event, for up to TWO HOURS to add any small personal touches/décor desired ( if the day before your event), and for any rehearsal needs. Can book 11 am -1 pm, 3 pm-5 pm, 6 pm-8 pm.
  • Use of all decor items listed under "The Finer Details", which we will continue to add to for 2022/2023 ( glass hurricanes, wooden and steel lanterns, steel photo arch backdrop, steel floral table stands etc still to be photographed and added to our listings.)
  • Two complimentary bluetooth event speakers on stands are available for use for those couples who do not wish to have a hired DJ for their event. You can simply run your own playlist then all night long. Otherwise, we ask that DJ's bring their own sound equipment that they are comfortable with.

Is there a space to get ready on site, or any overnight accomodations?

No, at this time Bleeks and Bergamot will not be offerring couples any designated space to get ready on site. We would encourage the comfort of home, your parents home, or even your hotel room. We do intend to open up a space for 2023 dressing, but at this time this is not something we are guaranteeing. We do not provide any overnight accomodations in house, but highly recommend renting a block of rooms at one of the many nearby hotels for you and your guests as a fun and comfortable way to end your night with all your friends and family - especially if you are travelling a good distance to our venue for your big day! Feel free to check out our "Suggested Vendors" as well. A shuttle from one of the many nearby hotels is a great thing to offer guests who are travelling for your event and will be staying in hotel accomodations. We can provide recommendations if you wish. We hope our 2023 pricing reflects our amazing venue none the less, and we will keep you updated if we do add some dressing spaces to the venue for 2023!

Are you presently doing tours?

Yes, absolutely! Please send us an email or a message through our "contact us" page, to arrange a private tour of our venue where we can go over any questions and ideas you may have one-on-one. Please note: we are a seasonal venue, and will not do in person tours from mid December- mid April each year. Our 2023 calender is already filling up fast! Be sure to get your tour booked in and date selected by the end of fall 2021!

Are you offerring Intimate Event Pricing in 2023?

YES! We are loving the intimacy of the smaller events we have hosted in 2021, and are hoping to continue the trend in 2022-23. Intimate events are permitted for Fridays in 2023, and cost $4,000 + HST to rent out our venue. Our intimate event pricing permits up to 50 people for the duration of your event ( vendors such as photographers, caterers etc do not count in this total guest count, just yourselves and up to 48 of your closest friends and family).

Do you offer in-house florals?

Yes! Our venue owner Bailey is a super passionate gardener and cut flower connoisseur. She would be happy to give you a custom quote for all the floral and greenery items you may have on your event " wish list"! Her focus is on ecologically sound floral design, incorporating her own organically grown flowers and greenery whenever possible to not only save you $, but to also cut down on the carbon footprint of heavily imported goods! Please do not hesitate to reach out to get the ball rolling on those items at any time. We typically however do not take any official deposits or signed contracts for florals till between 6-9 months before your big day, but get working on your design plan well before that :)
