We are a BYOB & BYO-catering venue!


This system is a bit unique to the wedding industry in our area, but we love that our couples have full control over their budgets and their food + beverage menu when booking with us!

Food for thought.


In 2025 Bleeks and Bergamot has decided to work on a preferred caterers list again.


This means our 2025 couples must select their catering from one of the ten wonderful companies we list below. 

These ten companies stood out to us in 2021-2023 as having excellent customer service, phenomenal prices and food offerings to suit all budgets and tastes, along with really high quality presentation from set up through full clean up of your meal. Each company offers their own unique flair and food style, so as you still can very easily customize your food vision exactly as you want on your big day!


You can opt to have food stations, passed cocktail style the duration of your event, buffet, family style or plated meal services at our venue - or any combination of it all!


We do ask that if you have booked your big day with Bleeks and Bergamot for 2024 -2025, or you are considering booking our space, that you reach out to the below companies to peruse their catering offerings, and get the ball rolling on great food service for your wedding! 

We do not have any minimum food spend requirements or minimum guest counts on site. There are no venue food service fees, or fees that any caterers have to pay when using our facilities to service your meal. You are permitted to fully customize the foods you offer to your guests to suit your exact tastes, budget, dietary restrictions, and overall wedding day vibe.

You are still welcome to bring in cakes and other desserts from any outside vendors for your big day, as well as late night foods or sandwiches can still be brought in from an outside vendor, or be provided by a family member +/ friend ( pizza, burgers, veggies, sandwich platters etc.) We can assist with offering suggestions, but also recommend checking out our suggested vendors page for some great ideas!


All other foods served during your event are to be provided by your choice of one of the ten caterers below.

At Bleeks & Bergamot we are also BYOBThis means you can create a fully customized beverage menu to suit your tastes and budget without hefty restrictions like minimum spends, mandatory open bar packages, or costly required gratuities!

You also have choice when it comes to bartending!

At our venue, you can simply request freelance bartenders for $250 + hst per bartender. We will then reserve on your behalf 1, 2 or 3 staff that have worked many times at our venue already, based on guest count + the  menu you provide to us. You just pay for these wages on your final venue installment invoice around the 30 day mark before. Simple.



You can book your staffing privately through our fav local bar company, Ottawa Mobile Bar, for a more all inclusive service! OMB will help with custom menu planning, alcohol estimates, and provide all mixes and garnishes on top of your wedding day staffing needs- you still supply the alcohol! We love our Ottawa Mobile Bar family!


Regardless of which bar service you choose, you still get to:

  • create a bar menu that suits yours and your guests tastes

  • ​bring all of the alcoholic beverages you want served on your predetermined rehearsal time frame, the Thursday before your wedding - we help stock it in our fridge. If you are simply requesting freelance bartenders, you must also supply all mixes and garnishes needed for your menu on your rehearsal night please.


  • set drink prices as you see fit, to recoup costs or make some money if you wish - our venue provides a debit/credit machine for your event, & funds collected are remitted to you in full via EMT

  • OR, opt to have a fully open bar for your guests at a fraction of the cost that you were thinking!

A combination of open bar + cash bar is also cool!


We love when couples mix an open bar throughout cocktail time, complimentary wine on the dinner tables, and then move to a cash bar for the latter part of their reception to minimize waste. But hey, its really all up to you!!

We assist you to ensure you get your very straightforward Special Occasion Permit through AGCO online in the month of your wedding, & we also ensure you get a one day special event insurance policy, just to add a bit of peace of mind since you are allowed to supply the drinks! These two items are pretty pain free, cost between $200- $300 total depending if you are selling drinks or not ( the sale permit is $100 more than no-sale), and can be obtained in minutes all online. 


Why do we love offering this system at our venue?


1. Our couples get to choose the drinks that THEY want on their bar menu. 

2. You are not locked into a mandatory bar package or minimum tab - if you don't have a big drinking crowd, that's just fine in our eyes! 

3. You can support amazing local bartenders & other amazing local craft breweries, wineries and distilleries that often don't make the standard bar packages at other places!

4. You can splurge on a champagne wall, a bubbly toast, a fancy signature drink, or a special bottle or two of liquor without it throwing your whole wedding day budget!

5. You can bring in homemade wines for use on your wedding day also - you just are not permitted to sell this wine, but those custom labels sure make for a nice touch to your reception tables!

6. Open bars typically cost upwards of $70 + HST, + min gratuities elsewhere for weddings. You can offer your guests this experience for a fraction of that cost.



Most of our couples spend between $20-$30 with taxes in, per person, depending on premium beverage selections to fully stock their bar - including garnishes + mixes. Sometimes this runs even less if you bring in homemade wines (which can be a fun way to further customize your day, by adding your own personal label to the bottles). These figures are also based on a generous 1.5 drinks per person, per hour that the bar is open, and a standard mix of mid-premium wines, craft beers, coolers, and mixed cocktails.


Not all guests will drink anywhere near this & so we have a great system for your leftovers! All leftovers are restocked by your bar staff into our walk-in fridge, and are available for pickup the next morning between 10 am and noon for pickup by yourselves other designated friends/family members.


Unopened product can be returned, and partial products simply make for nice celebratory drinks at the next big event, right? All leftovers are yours to take back home regardless! And, just think, again you are not stuck paying for that open bar package price on your grandma who only had 2 glasses of wine at dinner!

Our venue does not have any sort of service fees, corking fees, or gratuities relating to the bar. Our bartenders simply keep their tips that they collect from yourselves + your guests in full. 

We do provide unlimited coffee, tea + herbal tea options for all receptions, along with all of the fixings.


Unlimited bar ice, plastic cups, black cocktail napkins + black paper cocktail straws are also included for all events regardless of your staffing choice. We have a full walk-in fridge and freezer on site for all of your beverages needs.
